I am a DONA and CAPPA trained birth doula. I’m a Certified Doula through Madriella and a certified Hypnobabies Childbirth Hypnosis Doula. I’m also a DONA trained postpartum doula, a Certified Lactation Counselor and a Certified BEBE Childbirth Educator. In March of 2014, I was trained as a Midwifery Assistant by Mamatoto Village. Between training programs, workshops, apprenticeships and conferences, I’ve received over 400 hours of specialized pregnancy, birth, bereavement, lactation and postpartum training over a 5 year period (and that doesn’t count the scores of books and hundreds of articles I’ve read on these issues!).
I’m a member of the Midwives Alliance of Pennsylvania, the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice and the Amethyst Network. I serve my local birth community as the Aspiring Midwife Representative for the MAP and I founded the Hearthside Online Midwifery Study Group to serve my fellow students.
