Amazing Giveway for January 2013 Webinar

So I am pretty psyched about these new webinars I’m offering beginning in January. And to celebrate, I’ve decided to do a giveaway. Since ‘Processing Perinatal Grief’ is a professional webinar designed to complement the studies of Stillbirthday Bereavement Doulas, I’ve decided to give away one copy of Optimal Care in Childbirth: The Case for a Physiologic Approach by Henci Goer and Amy Romano (2012).

Now, childbirth professionals, midwifery students, L&D nurses- everyone should be familiar with this amazing book. Some reviews from Amazon.com:

This book is so well-written and meticulously referenced that it’s like owning
an encyclopedia on the evidence for normal childbirth. You can search through
the whole internet (believe me, I have!) and you will not find another source
about birth evidence that is more comprehensive than this book. The authors did
an incredible amount of work to bring all of the evidence together, and the book
is just chock-full of mind-blowing statistics. For bloggers and Facebook users
(such as myself), this book would give you plenty of fodder for memes. The
statistics and quotes in this book are just that good!

And another:

I have waited a long time for this book to be released and am so pleased with my
copy now that it is in my hands! Henci Goer is a name that should ring bells for
many parents for her “Thinking Woman’s Guide to a Better Birth,” and to Birth
Professionals of most stripe who would recognize “Obstetric Myths vs. Research
Realities.” “Optimal Care…” is akin to an update, but also an upgrade to the
“Obstetric Myths…” tome. Amy Romano has worked with the foremost Maternity
Care research organizations, having had lots of previous clinical experience as
a Certified Nurse Midwife. She is truly a pioneer in this field, helping to
assess what best care should be and relating that information to the
practitioners and the women who need it. This work will continue her work to
bring information to the people who need it to work for improved outcomes for
mothers and babies. I cannot say enough good about this book!

How to enter to win:

Entry is simple. First, like my facebook page- the linky thing is on the right. Then, register to take my January ‘Processing Perinatal Grief’ Webinar. EVERYONE is welcome to take this webinar which helps professionals and parents alike understand the overall flow of perinatal grief and discusses risk factors for a complicated grief experience. This information will help professionals serve their clients better and can help parents better understand their own grief journey. Registration is found on the 2013 Webinar page of this site. The winner will be announced at the end of the webinar on January 21st. Since webinar attendance is capped at FIFTY people, you have at LEAST a one in fifty chance of winning this book- those are pretty good odds!
